New Acura Nsx 2011

Another thing a majority awaits for the final release of a new sports luxury car. The Advanced Sports Car Concept was reinforced mainly to launch Acura’s recently open design center in Pasadena, California. The parent company Honda wanted their premium brands to have a separate visual identity; this is what made them open two separate studios and talent demos the weird Advanced Sports Sedan Concept and the ASCC.. While Acura says the ASCC design assumes a front-mounted V10 engine and all-wheel drive, the construct was only a “pushmobile” with no running gear, so a production model could end up being entirely different.

Indeed, despite the “Sports Car” moniker, the concept’s size, shape and position suggest a high-speed luxury coupe, non a driving-focused machine like the original NSX with its jackanapes aluminum spaceframe, revvy amidship V6 and Chevrolet Corvette.

On the other hand, racy newcomers from two homeland rivals–the just-released 2008 Nissan GT-R and Toyota’s high-power 2009 Lexus sports coupe–are doubtlessly goading Honda to respond. Honda may find it easy being green, but it still wants to be seen as a performance power second to none.

There’s also the question of whether Honda would take the trouble of building the Advanced Sports Car Concept and then do nothing with it. Sure, most concept designs go no further than an auto-show turntable, but Honda isn’t known for indulging in dead-end ego trips.

Since that time, there has been a definite decline in aggressive automotive design at Honda/Acura that has hardly been filled by the likes of the S2000.  So it is easy to get excited about news that the NEW NSX is being put through testing at the Nurburgring in Germany in preparation of a tentative 2011 release.  With so much success in its past, and so many changes planned for the future, the biggest question may be how much “NSX-ness” is left?

Kawasaki Ninja ZX12R

2012 Audi Q3

According to reports Audi has confirmed that the 2012 Q3 will make its official debut on April 19 at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show. Official sketches of the 2012 Audi Q3 have been released ahead of the debut that is barely two weeks away. Almost all manufacturers that appear there has been preparing new hero who displayed various results of the latest technological innovations. Including those presented by Audi. To add a sense of curiosity, they released a teaser image of the Audi Q3 crossover.

As expected, the design of this model is inspired by the Audi Q5 and Q7, but implementing a more sporty front fascia with a firmly declining roof-line. It seems like this design of the rear passengers are forced to sacrifice room and cargo space capacity.

Turning to the cabin, the interior of the Audi Q3 crossover equipped with a pop-up Multi Media Information displays, wood trim and aluminum accents are scattered in several directions.

The forthcoming Q3 is expected to be powered by a 200 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo TFSI engine, a 3.0 liter diesel for Europe as well as a 333 hp 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 in a performance trim. Incidentally, there are chances that the 2.0 TFSI will hit the roads in the U.S. Also, there are chances of a 2.0-liter TDI for the 2012 Q3 that will likely produce around 168 hp..

The 2012 Audi Q3 will be built at SEAT’s factory in Martorell, Spain and is anticipated to hit the roads in a year or so. Further details of the Q3 are expected to be revealed closer to the debut date.

Bugatti 16C Galibier

Bugatti unveiled the 16C Galibier Concept back in September and now the automaker has showed the car off at a special event in Los Angeles. The concept is powered by a 8.0L W16 engine with twin-turbochargers that is expected to be mated to an eight-speed transmission. Bugatti hasn't released official specs for the all-wheel-drive Galibier, but it's been rumored that the W16 engine will put out around 800 horsepower and the car will have a top speed around 220 mph. Bugatti claims that when it is officially released the Galibier will be the fastest and most powerful four-passenger sedan available.

2013 BMW i8 Concept

BMW are preparing supercar with the name i8, which wont be powered by a diesel-electric hybrid like the Vision Efficient Dynamics concept.  BMW i8 is expected to be introduced in 2013 and it will be powered by a petrol engine. The recently announced ‘i’ sub-brand from BMW will launch the i8 supercar in 2013 but it will come with a petrol engine instead.

Firsly, the idea was for a 1.5 liter three-cylinder diesel and an electric motor like the configuration in Vission Efficient Dynamics concept, but now BMW will stick to petrol variant.

The exterior design features a flat silhouette, with sweeping lines, taut surfaces and precise edges that form an extremely sculptural and organic surface structure. The individual vehicle components are clearly visible from the outside, the black and transparent Life module setting itself apart from the silver-colored body components around it.

The precise lines along its flanks and hallmark BMW i “stream flow” also give the BMW i8 Concept a strong sense of powering forward. A large, transparent greenhouse lends the exterior a feeling of lightness and highlights the efficiency of the vehicle.

The BMW i8 Concept’s doors swing upwards like wings: below them, the silver-colored layer moulds the car’s flanks into a powerful wedge shape, opening out from the door sills towards the rear.

BMW will offer both RWD and AWD versions, with the hybrid version is offered only as an AWD model. Engine will be mated with a new dual clutch transmission and supercar future will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds. The company has promised 58 MPG fuel economy and autonomy of 400 kilometers. The bad news, though, is that the top speed will be limited to only 155 mph, but we believe the tuner will have something to say about it.

A blue flourish accentuates the dynamic presence of the sills. Together, the bonnet and door sill sculpting emphasize the BMW i8 Concept’s forward- surging stance, and their smooth lines imbue the car with a touch of lightness. At the front, a number of different levels interact with one another, while the expressive surface treatment exudes dynamic verve and advertises the car’s sporting potential.

The full-LED headlights of the BMW i8 Concept are designed as two U-shaped configurations.

A black, semi-transparent “V” rises out of the hood just behind the kidney grille, opening out towards the windscreen and guiding the eye to the electric motor below.

The tail lights in horizontal design, are integrated into the upper layer of the rear and share the signature U-shape of the BMW i light concept. The transparent surfaces in the doors and roof give the exterior and interior design of the BMW i8 Concept the appearance of merging into one another. The colour concept and underlying structure of the BMW i8 Concept interior closely mimic those of the BMW i3 Concept.

The i8 Concept features a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 96 kW / 250 Nm electric motor with a 164 kW/220 hp turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine developing up to 300 Nm and 300 Nm of torque driving the rear axle.  Together, the two drive units allow the i8 to reach a top speed limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under five seconds while achieving a fuel consumption in the European cycle of under three litres per 100 kilometres (approx. 94 mpg imp).

2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible borns

The former Chrysler Sebring underwent a very quick 12-month transformation, with nearly everything but the roof and the doors being replaced or redesigned. So we can give pretty solid predictions of what is hiding beneath the camouflage in these spy shots of the 200 convertible.

On the droptop 200, expect to see the same reworked front end, including the new grille, hood, fenders, fascia, and headlights housing LED accents. The rear should receive the same treatment as the sedan, with LED taillights bridged by an attractive chrome strip.

We caught this mule wearing a cloth convertible top, but because the car keeps the same overall structure as the Sebring—and the two tops use the same mechanism with different skins—we expect to see the folding hardtop return as an option.

We’re trying to avoid sounding like a broken record, but in this case, it’s impossible. Like the sedan, the 200 convertible will welcome the new Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 deploying its 283 hp through a six-speed automatic transmission. (Also like the sedan, it should retain the base 2.4-liter four, which is to be avoided.)

We can say from firsthand experience that the 200 sedan is much improved over the car it replaces, and we’re looking forward to seeing those changes make their way to the 200 droptop. The convertible should debut early in 2011 and, if pricing stays in line with the sedan’s, expect a slight increase from the 2010 models, which started around $28,500. Considering the tremendous improvements to the car, it should be a fair deal.

The 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible will be arriving in the U.S. dealerships in spring 2011, just in time to drop its top for some fun in the sun. Chrysler today confirmed pricing for the 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible, which will be available in the U.S. in three different configurations including Chrysler 200 Convertible Touring, 200 Convertible Limited and the 200 Convertible S.

The 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible will be available with two engine options including a 173-hp 2.4L inline 4-cylinder World Gas Engine and a 283-hp Pentastar 3.6L V6. Both will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Prices start at $26,445.

Each throttle body feeds two cylinders and each throttle body barrel carries two ultra-fine-atomization, 12 hole injectors that produce a fine fuel mist for more complete combustion. This ultimately reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. In addition, the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2011 is outfitted with Iridium spark plugs, which produce a strong spark for efficient combustion.

Instruments include a silver-ringed analog tachometer with LCD speedometer. LCD readouts include odometer, dual trip meters, reserve trip meter, clock, coolant temperature/oil pressure warning indicator, gear position indicator, lap timer/stopwatch, S-DMS setting indicator and bar-graph indicating the instrument lighting level, or brightness.
